Rapture study still in the making
Thursday March 9, 2006
For the past couple days I've been working on a study to look at the pre-tribulation rapture, not to confirm this belief, but to show evidence that this may be wrong. Many may turn away because this is not something people want to hear. When I first began looking at this for myself, it scared me and I became confused as to what kind of strength I would have, but with time it actually becomes a point of strengthening my faith and walk with Jesus Christ. I make it a regular prayer to ask God for guidance and strength in the case that the pretrib rapture does not occur.
I am about half way done with this study, my first focus being on Mat 24, now I am going to work on the Pauline scriptures and Revelation where specific mentions of Christ returning to save His people, the dead in Christ and those who are alive. There is a definate announcement in the scriptures as to the timing of these events which I hope to reveal. As I have stated before, most people who attend church don't know these scriptures for themselves, they just know the pretrib rapture because their minister told them so or taught on the subject. I have been told so myself, but you are responsible as an individual to seek the word in prayer to understand these things for yourself. Don't be caught by surprise, the most powerful weapon is the element of surprise, which could be deadly to a Christian who is expecting it if this event does not occur.
Until I get this study uploaded, please feel welcome to read the front page archives for the past couple days, a link to them is located directly under the homepage. - Dan Dunkin
