Genesis 1:14-19

God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also....... God created the sun and commanded it's ability to light up the earth, and the moon only by borrowing light from the sun to rule the darkness of night. The use of the term RULE seems to have given the sun and moon a sort of governorship over the earth, a sort of natural government, and yet they too are servant to God as their light or lack thereof lies solely upon Gods discretion and providential care. In the book of Revelation when the sun refuses to give it's light, the naturalists and scientists who may proclaim this to be some natural event or by attempts try to explain it through science, however the fact that it is written in the Bible, let it be known that accurate prophecy precludes science and will be witness that Gods word is true and that science itself must fall under Gods' providence, as much as every body that breathes performs a miracle with every breath.

Many say Moses lived in a time when astronomy and science were basically unknown, but healed skull tissue of ancient human bodies proves that science was not a subject of ignorance in Moses day. The foundations and knowledge of astronomy and the discovery of the size of the universe, while it may make the weak in faith fall short, to those who believe God told Moses the truth, can now perceive even more just how great and powerful God really is. In our day, we have a universe we cannot see the end of, and from the astronomically short distance of the moon, the earth looks like a blueberry in the sky, the perception from that distance one cannot even fathom little bodies of people running around busily trying to make something of their own lives. If you contemplate the reality of our meager existence, it is a humbling exercise and in reflection yields a great respect and admittance of our subjection to Gods' authority. Give Him praise!!!!
