Genesis 1:14-19
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.... Another metaphor here for our own existence in Gods divine plan, that those who seek salvation through His Son Jesus Christ will live eternally in the light of His righteousness, while those who embrace disbelief will find themselves cast into outer darkness. When we have lived a period of our lives apart from God and indulging ourselves in the pleasures of this earth, we find ourselves, our spirits and self esteem in a darkness. Not the kind you can flip a switch and the lights go on in the room, but a kind of darkness of existence, a lack of purpose. However when one turns their lives over to God in subjection to His will, there becomes a plethora of meaning even for events that at sometimes we don't understand.
Again, god performs perfectly and doesn't rush hastily on, but rather looks upon His creation and what??? See's that it is good...
By now you know what the next line means to me, the evening and the morning are what? Yes, the next day... a simple and truthful 24 hour period of time, however for you scientists out there, I will elude to the possibility that it may have been 24 hours and 5 minutes 6,000 years ago as the earth may have slowed it's rotation by 5 minutes over this period of time due to friction caused by the solar winds. :-)
