The Rapture
Pre/Post Tribulation
What does the Bible say?
The most powerful weapon in an offense is the element of surprise: If the rapture does not occur before the Tribulation, then there will certainly be an element of surprise that will leave many people scared, confused, and maybe even a little betrayed. 80% of the Devils victory will have been won in this one simple mis-interpretation.
Do you actually know the verses, and can you prove to yourself the pre tribulation rapture theory? Can you succesfully debate with someone who believes other wise? (please do not debate at the cost of our own Brotherly love for each other, which God has ordained in us). Here we are going to look at verses in the Bible which specifically refer to Christ's return during the final days, and seek to find any clue's of what will happen at the onset of the Tribulation to see exactly when we will be removed from the earth and transformed.
The first area I want to cover is what Jesus said to his disciples about the end times. In this chapter of the Bible, Jesus seems to have covered a very detailed outline of all the events leading up to the end, but He apparently forgot one thing, the Pre Tribulation Rapture. Perhaps He did not consider this a point of importance. After we look at these verses, we will examine some of the Pauline scriptures to find a specific time frame for the rapture, and finally what Revelation has to say.
Matthew
Chapter 24 verse 3 - 9
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? |
This column I will make brief comments refering to the verses in the left column.
Here the disciples are asking when will they see Him return, the sign of Thy coming. |
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. |
|
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. |
False prophets, and deception. |
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. |
We are all familiar with these. :-) |
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places |
Nation against nation and Kingdom against kingdom, I will speak on this when I get to the prophetic Bible study and articles. We are in for some real surprises.
Read my article on Earthquakes, it has direct relevance to this verse. |
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows |
This is all just the beginning of troubled times. |
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. |
There has not yet been a time when Christians were hated by all the nations for following Christ. This is definately pertenant to the Tribulation period, but when were we raptured? If we are raptured, then how can we be delivered up? |
