1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevented them which are asleep.  16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comforted one another with these words.

Again the Bible gives us a very clear and detailed description of Christ coming and taking His chosen up to be with Him.  Again, it is clearly marked with the sound of a Trump, again it describes the dead in Christ shall be raised, then those of us who are alive. While some attest that the words, "Great hope" as referring to the rapture before the tribulation, no where have I found in scripture a clear description of those who believe being saved from the troubled times, but repeatedly you will find descriptions of Christs return at the last trump and at the end of the tribulation.  Repeatedly the Bible says we will be persecuted, hated by the nations, killed for our beliefs, etc.

Mark 13:5-37

5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: 6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. 8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.  9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. 10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations. 11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. 12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. 13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Jesus is speaking of the end times, His followers will be delivered up to the councils, hated by men, betrayed by your own family, friends, and yes, even fellow church members. please read the entire chapter for what it says, not for the doctrine of men, and what men want it to say.  Search for yourself and determine for yourself, did Jesus simply forget to mention that we will be saved from this torment? Notice the end of verse 9, this is for a testimony against those who would put us to death, and those who would turn us in. For 2000 years Christians have been persecuted, I ask you honestly to seek deep in your heart, why would god allow this persecution to happen to millions of Christians for 2000 years, but would spare us what our brothers suffered?
