Dano's Place

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Notice verse 19-21, this is discernment and evidence of the real God. People by nature close the door to Christianity and Jesus because man's nature is evil. I've invited many people to come to church with us who have said, "Not a chance" without even giving it a second thought. Why? Because they hate the light. Even though as humans they cannot tell what is after life, spiritually they are like magnetic fields that repel from the truth. You could talk to them about all kinds of Eastern Religions and mystic beliefs, they will talk about reincarnation, Buddha, and a whole host of other religious phylosophies, but the mention of the name of God or Jesus, and you can almost see a cringe in their faces. What else can be expected, even the prophets of Biblical times when confronted by a vision of God or an Angel, have had similar reactions, falling to the ground in utter dismay and fear, and in the case of Isaiah, he fell on his face and cried out, "WOE is me, for I am undone." Reactions we see in people who refuse to believe should not surprise us, but it should certainly sadden us.
