Dano's Place

New! Creation DVD's, VHS, and Books

April 13th, these three pages added for further research: books, DVD's and VHS tapes.  If you've not seen or read any of the materials out there, I would recommend looking at some of the DVD features, as well as the VHS.  You can absorb more in an hour through entertaining and educational media than 2 hours with a book, (if you read like I do anyway, LOL).  I've not seen all these items myself, I have seen the Dr. Kent Hovind series which is at the same time, entertaining, educational, and inspirational.  Of course evolutionists will not like it.  I do feel Dr. hovind has taken liberties to the extremes in some cases such as saying the sun looses so much mass every minute, that 250 million years ago the sun would have been big enough to vaporize the earth.  Due to the enormity of space, that could be a debatable subject especially taken scientifically.  however, I did find a physics professors website, (I'll try to find it again and post a link), where he calculated the size of the sun now as opposed to 5,000 years ago. His findings werre the sun would have 20% more mass, which would in turn cause the orbit of Mercury to be smaller by 3/4 of it's own diameter.  It would seem to me, that if the sun and earth were 250 million years old, or 4.5 billion years old as claimed, the size of the sun would first have an effect of burning much more violently and with more heat, and Mercury may have orbited dangerously close for it to have survived as a solid planet. I don't know this for a fact, we'll leave that up to the physicists.  however, likewise the earth also would have been closer to a hotter sun and it could easily have an effect on temperatures within the earths atmosphere and the ability of life to survive.  once again, even within a 6,000 year time frame this in itself could have caused mass extinctions, especially of larger cold blooded creatures.  Just another point to ponder...
