Prophecy for a Reason

While Prophecy and End Time events are not the focus of Christianity, it is important, God has given us prophecy for a reason.  If Adam did not know God created everything, the serpent would have simply claimed his providence over all creation.  Information sheds light on questions, Gods word sheds light on truth and lies.  God has given us a road map of the future, just as He gave it to the people of Israel since the time of Moses.  As with the religious leaders of Israel, many interpretations have been made, and some of these are based on mans desires, not God's intentions.

My hope is that in doing this study, when the tribulation begins some people will know the truth and will not be deceived by a reinterpretation of what everyone else expected to happen.  You will be armed with Gods truth, not the hopes of men.  Many people will be fooled, many will be taken by surprise, members of your own church and family will turn you in for being a Christian.  Seminary's will become the teaching ground of the new religion, and churches will be teaching a new religious tolerance.  It will probably be subtle at first, just as television and Hollywood have subtly subverted the morals of the American society.  - Dano  5/4/06
