The Second Seal is Opened
Rev 6:3
The next three seals do not have a real Biblical reference because it pertains to basic human history beginning with the birth of
Christianity. The effects of the next three seals, (and the three horsemen that are released), will extend long past the writing of the
scriptures. Where do they come from and why were they released? After the four horsemen, we will take a break and give a quick brushing over
another chapter in Revelations. Remember I said, like Genesis, Revelation lays out a chronological outline of history from the advent of
Christ to the end of time, then after giving the outline, John has additional visions, each giving more specific details of things that occurred
during that timeline and beyond. Some visions even go far back, to give us a picture of who Christ is.
Rev 6:3) And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. 4) And there went out
another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and
there was given unto him a great sword. (The Spirit of Discontent & Anger)
The Second Seal is Opened - Rev 6:3 - 4) The change the red horseman has on history is not easy for us to see because we haven't
lived in the times before Christ and shortly after, but we do have some recorded history. In the Old Testament we see several wars, but the time
gap of the Old Testament is about 4,000 years. In the past 2000 years we have probably seen more wars than the entire Old Testament. There has
always been some disruption in peace, but when Christ conquered Satan on the Cross and men were baptised with the Holy Spirit, there became more
conflict than ever before. Even the Jewish leaders were hiring assassins to kill Christian Leaders and ministers. Not to mention the
Governments who began loosing control of people because they now chose to live my moral regulations. Those who chose not to believe had to face
accountability, the greatest fear of mankind is accountability for our sins, which no matter how hard we try we cannot overcome our own sinful
nature. When people have to face conviction of the soul, it can trigger extreme reactions, and on local, governmental, and global levels,
Christians and Jews alike came under attack.
Before Christ, the Jews lived a relative calm life. As long as they paid their taxes and did not rebel against the Romans they
had little to fear. After Christ and once the Romans decided to no longer tolerate the Jews, it was not safe for Jews or Christians to walk down
the street. This type of bigoted attitude has over the past 2000 years, crossed barriers to include racial, national, and even territorial
conflicts around the world.
Once past the four seals and I show the supporting verses, you will see the last three horsemen and where they come from and why
they are here.
