Mark 13 Continued:

The Timeline

24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Once again in Mark, the gathering of His people is marked in the timeline by verse 24, "After the tribulation", and verse 27 shows the event that is to occur after the tribulation.

How can the Bible, specifically the New Testament, repeatedly tell us of how we will be caught up in the air, and repeatedly it is marked with the signs of the end of the tribulation, and yet somehow it forgot to clearly prepare us for being saved before the Tribulation.  It seems an important detail to have been overlooked or shadowed in cryptic language.

I have heard it called the Great Hope of man, and it is the great hope, unfortunately I cannot find Biblical support for this event.

please go back and read the full chapters of each of these references for yourself.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and the purpose of this study is not to scare you. This is a WARNING... Be prepared, don't be caught off guard, don't ask your minister to fight this battle for you, find the scriptures for your self, so me a verse where Jesus says we will not be here for the tribulation and I'll show you a verse where Jesus said, I ask not that you take them out of the earth, but that you protect them from the evil.

Unless you find a scripture that clearly describes the taking away of the church with clarity and with any other time frame clearly marked, then believing in the pretrib rapture is in opposition to scripture.  I have found no such verse, this is a description, clear and consise of the few other verses which describe this unprecedented event of the dead rising and those alive being changed, and it is marked very clearly by the sound of the last trumpet which identifies the time at which this will happen, and it is not at the beginning of the tribulation.
