The Rapture Abbreviated

Please put your commentaries away, and read Gods word, He is very explicit in the telling of our being caught up with those who were dead in Christ, he even gives us a book mark in the end times for the event.  Read Gods word for yourself, and as it says in Revelation, do not add to the scripture what is not there, and do not take away from it what is there.  This is a big event in the time of mankind, and God mentions it in several places and gives us clues. Don't be like the Pharisees expecting your King to come and rescue you from the Romans, God will work His way and in His time, however BE PREPARED!  He gives us His word so we can prepare ourselves. I believe according to scripture He will also pour out His Holy Spirit upon us which will make the decisions to remain steadfast a much easier task.

What Matthew had to say:

Matt 24: 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

You cannot be delivered up and afflicted if your not here.  It is best to read this entire chapter and listen to Gods word, but this is the shortened version.

Matt 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Enduring to the end is another clue, or is it literal...

Matt 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

No flesh should remain alive, this is the great tribulation period of the end times, it is not the battle of the persians against the people of Israel, this is the final days.  Wars before this century did not include all nations and all people, but this one will and has the potential of ending all of mankind.

Matt 24: 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Here He describes what His return will be like..

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
